BANDS & STAGE TIMES

11:20 – 11.50 Popurri

We're really pleased to support recently formed band Popurri because it includes one of our awesome market regulars! Associated with much loved locals Don Kipper, this quintet brings the old and rare repertoire of Eastern European Ashkenazi folk to life - music of joy, of sorrow, for celebration and for yearning, all delivered with a 21st century London accent. https://soundcloud.com/popurri-band

12.15pm – 12.45pm The Obscuritones
A female fronted sugar sweet harmonising, hot rockin' band from London. Playing wild originals and the best rockabilly & rock n roll, they're like the Andrews Sisters playing with the Stray Cats after a night out with the Cramps. They've raked up over 1.7 million You Tube hits, toured Europe and America, have been residents at The Blues Kitchen in Camden for 3 years and we're super excited to have them back playing for us on the Green. http://www.theobscuritones.com

13.10 - 13.40 Wondr Womn
Mary aka WondR WomN is not only an brilliantly talented artist in her own right but also a community spirited entrepreneur, helping others make their own music at The Record Shop at the Enterprise Centre on the High Road. But the self-monikered girl-next-door-that-raps is branching out - interviews in Time Out and on BBC radio, performances at Grenfell Tower and workshops at the O2 are taking her from her Tottenham roots into the stratosphere... see her now on stage for her second Haringey Food & Drink Fest appearance before she gets the call from Drake...https://www.instagram.com/kidwondr/

14.05 – 14.45 Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra
We are truly honoured to have a member of Afrobeat aristocracy grace our stage this year. Dele Sosimi was keyboardist and musical director in Afrobeat founder Fela Kuti's band as well as performing with his son, Femi Kuti. He also played with Afrobeat's 'drum king' Tony Allen. Sun or rain this is sure to bring a true sense of Nigerian heat to our little piece of London. https://www.facebook.com/DeleSosimiAfrobeatOrchestra/

15.10 - 15.50 Democratic Punk Rock Karaoke
Now it's YOUR TURN to be the star of the show - choose a tune from a repertoire of a 100 punk rock classics from The Sex Pistols, The Clash and Blondie to Nirvana, Pulp and Kings Of Leon and perform with your very own live band... down a beer, grab the clipboard and get your name down. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=161229694524560&id=152045152109681

16.15 - 16.45 Dronningen
A London-based electro-rock assault squad with Scandinavian connections, Dronningen translates as Queen in Norwegian. They have, in their own words, "strong faith in the imaginative power of each individual... We believe that people are the queens and kings of their own cosmos..." Having am assed radio play from the likes ofBBC Introducing London's Gary Crowley, Kerrang! Radio and Shoreditch Radio the band are ready to free your minds and rock your souls. https://www.dronningen.co.uk/manifesto

17.10 – 17.50pm Karyo
Purveyors of fine beats and hot sauce - or possibly hot beats and fine sauce, these locals musicians and culinary experimenters are just back from Shambala Festival and end our festival with post-pop sample-funk hip hop party vibes - and lashing of spice. Boogie to the tunes and check out their Satan's Gravy stall.
